TROJAN SC - 40th Anniversary - KIRKBY LONSDALE RUFC

 Believe it or not alot of planning went into the weekend that would celebrate our 40th .......okay we havent all been in the club since 1968 ......I was not even born for f**ck's sake but that does not mean the club has not been running in some shape or form all these years . Yeah there are members still about that were riding scooters in the 70's ( Butch for one ) but most of the current club members joined in the 80's scooter revival and have stayed in the club ever since .

So why Kirkby Lonsdale ...............well would you have a do in Morecambe ? Having spent most of my teenage years in the town , dossing in bus shelters and drinking Buckfast you get used to it , but 20 years on it's only got worse ! The refurbishment of one hotel aint going to turn the town's fortunes around but I guess its a step in the right direction . Anyway we wanted a camping weekend and unless you like sharing a field with some pikeys then Morecambe aint got the facilities we wanted ( except for the Boswell ! ) .

Kirkby Lonsdale could not be any more different ....with the best view in England just next to the camp site , a scattering of good pubs and some live music on site then who could want for more !!!
